About the Hawiai Ocean Expo

Saturday, April 21 from 9 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, April 22 from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Admission:General admission is $7.00, children 6-12 are $3.00 and children 5 and under are FREE!

Vertical Junkies and HPELive proudly present the 2012 Hawaii Ocean Expo, Hawaii’s premier annual event for water enthusiasts of all ages and abilities. This family-friendly expo will appeal to anyone who loves the ocean, with activities, vendors and educational opportunities.

Here are a few highlights of this year’s Hawaii Ocean Expo:

-Boater’s World boat shows: Featuring boats from GlassPro, Seafox, Boston Whaler, Sea Ray, Glacier Bay and more.

-GT Master’s Cup shoreline fishing tournament: The biggest, baddest shoreline fishing to urnament to hit Oahu starts Friday, April 20 at noon, and goes until noon Sunday April 22. Weigh-ins are at the expo at 1 p.m. There will be a $1000 bounty for the biggest Ulua over 100 lbs that comes in!

-Ocean University: An educational opportunity, with participants including NOAA Fisheries Service, Pacific Island Fisheries Group, Department of Aquatic Resources, DLNR, WESPAC, Hawaii Institute of Marine Biology.

-Water Keiki Fun Zone: Keep the kids busy with a jumping castle, fishing games, face painting and more.

-Surfers’ Closet: A surf sample sale with the major international and local brands selling clothing and accessories for men, women and children.

-Izuo Brothers Tackle Box fishing product showcase: Izuo Brothers showcase all of their newest fishing products, including sneak previews for unreleased products, only at the expo.

-Poke Contest: Who makes the best poke? Find out when the masters go head-to-head for prizes and bragging rights.
